Story #4
This story is called, "The Boscombe Valley Mystery." Holmes is asked by a man to investigate a death of a man named Charles McCarthy. A detective from that area is already on the case and things he has it already solved and figured out, and that the murderer is the guys son, James. Holmes does not believe and thinks that the facts don't fit. Holmes says that it would be impossible for the son to kill his father due to the angle of the wound and where his son was standing. Holmes figures out it was a guy named Old Turner, but does not arrest him because he says that he killed McCarthy because he was trying to get his son to marry his daughter so they could take his money. The court rules that it wasn't James and Old Turner dies 7 months later of an illness.
