Story #3

If you could rewrite anything about your book what would it be and why? Summarize what you have read since tuesday.

I would not change anything about this book, because i really like the stories and crimes that Holmes investigates.

This story starts out with Dr. Watson and Holmes talking about some cases that he has but are not very interesting. Then Holmes stands up and looks out the blinds and sees a bigger woman standing outside. She runs up to the door and rings the bell so he lets her in. She says her name is Miss Mary Sutherland. She tells Holmes that she met a guy at a dance named Mr. Hosmel Angel and they fell in love, they were planning on getting married. The day of the wedding he rented a very fancy cab for Miss Sutherland and her mom, but he road in a cab to the church. When they arrived he was not in the cab and had just dissapeared, the cab driver said he swore he saw the man get in but never saw him get out. Holmes does some digging and finds out that it was the step dad acting like a different guy so his Miss Sutherland wouldn't find a man and waist their money.

They had been waiting for awhile when the door of the room opened a crack and a guys hand poked through. then the guy walked in and Holmes flashed the light on and grabbed the guy and he also had an accomplice with him. They turned the lights on and it was Jabez and his assistant that works with him at his small business. Jabez's assistant was really a wanted criminal, and they had both been plotting to steal the money and had dug a tunnel underground to the room where the money was as an escape route. Jabez jumped down it, and was later caught later at his house (thats where the tunnel led to).
